The Carroll County Public Schools Board of Education is composed of five elected members. The law provides for the County Commissioners to serve as non-voting, ex-officio members of the Board.
Carroll County has 22 elementary schools. Grade level alignment for elementary schools in Carroll County is K-5, except Parr’s Ridge (K-2) and Mt. Airy Elementary (3-5). Some elementary schools also have prekindergarten programs.
