Anybody manage to find the spark plug and gap for the Harbor Freight Predator generator 8750 7000 Watts? Model number is 68530 . The manual doesn't list either and the spark plug has no identification on it. best welders This thread is a follow up to my Harbor Freight rant. It was helpfulbest welders
Greetings, I have a Champion 41430 generator with a minor issue. The carburetor took some external damage, so I replaced it. After installing the new carb, it will start for a short period (~10 seconds or so) and then die. I did some diagnostics and found that the voltage going to the carb fuel...
Its the 4000w (peak) model. Has a 212cc 6.5hp (or is it 7hp?) Predator "Hemi" engine. Thanks guys. Personally I am running Mobil 1 10w-30 High Mileage in that same engine, albeit mine is the Predator 3500 inverter. My other generator may be more similar to yours. It is a Champion 3500 / 4000 peak open frame model, full 3600 RPM run mode.
Once you get it running, let it run for a while (putting a load on the generator would be a good idea), like at least 15 minutes or so, turn the fuel shutoff valve OFF while running (assuming that the shutoff valve is working) and let the engine quit by itself after burning the fuel in the carb.
Hello guys! Just thought I would pass on some info about magnetic oil drain plugs I have. Votex makes arguably the best magnetic plugs on the market. I found a couple different ones that work well with the Predator 9500W generator. I wasn't sure which one would be best so I bought both to try.
I've swapped many old tired engines for Predator 212cc's on old equipment for customers, and now I include NGK plugs as part of the swap. They don't run noticeably smoother, but start MUCH easier. The Predator engines start pretty easy, but I was initially getting come backs a few months later with the Torch plugs because the engine would go ...
I'm a big T5 10w30 fan in Predator OPE, the 13 HP one on my log splitter does great with it. Thin enough to start easily cold, thick enough to take the heat, plenty of ZDDP. The pour point for T5 10W30 and T6 5W40 are almost identical (-42 C. vs -51 C.), a 0W would be required to get much lower.
Best oil for Big Predator 9500W inverter generator? Thread starter Chris B. Start date May 25, 2022 ...
I didn't see a continuous running watts specification. I have the Predator 3500 with 3000 watts continuous rating. My generator has a 212cc engine; this one has a 224. Call me a skeptic, a realist or whatever, but I serously doubt that the extra 12cc of engine displacement could get you more than another 250 watts of continuous power.
The Predator ran just fine PLUS my manual idiot proof cut out and various selected circuits energized kept the goods cold. Used some fuel. Refilled all the cans, need to refill the 9500. I'm happy, price was good and super easy start.
