Palmdale Regional Airport (IATA: PMD, ICAO: KPMD, FAA LID: PMD) is an airport in Palmdale, California, United States. The city of Palmdale took over the airport at the end of 2013, managing it via the Palmdale Airport Authority. [2] The airport currently does not have any scheduled passenger airline service.
The Palmdale School District was formed in 1888 after members of the original "Palmenthal" settlement in the present-day Palmdale area petitioned for the construction of a schoolhouse in their small community. The district's first school year commenced on October 8, 1888, and concluded on June 18, 1889.
The dam and Little Rock Reservoir are owned by the Palmdale Water District and Littlerock Creek Irrigation District and are used for agricultural and municipal water supply and flood control.
