SCUC ISD was formed by merges of existing schools and school systems during the twentieth century. Early local schools included Cibolo Valley school [7] and Lower Valley School [8] In 1916, Cibolo voters approved a bond election to build a new high school. [7]
In 2021, Bammel Middle School was renamed The School for International Studies at Bammel and became Spring ISD's first ever school to serve grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Students in grades PK-3 have to apply for the school and are part of a Dual Language program. Students in grades 6-8 still attend Bammel based on zoning boundaries.

Prosper Middle School was established at the 1963 campus with grades 5-8. In 2005, Folsom Elementary opened with grades PK-3. Prosper Elementary was renamed Rucker Elementary and hosted grades 4-5, with Prosper Middle School hosting grades 6-8. In 2006, Pre-K and 6th grade moved to Rucker, freeing up space at Folsom (K-3) and PMS (7-8).
