Chestatee High School is a public high school located in Gainesville, Georgia, United States, operated by Hall County Schools. The school was established in 2002 when the enrollment at North Hall High School grew too large. The school serves the communities of Gainesville, Murrayville, and Dawsonville.
The 2014 season marked the first time the school had ever gone to a state championship in any sport, but in the final they lost 2-0 to Dalton High School. Rucker founded Timber Ridge Elementary School, the first school for Black children in Gainesville, in 1911. In 1951 she established a night high school for African-American veterans, which was the only High School for veterans in Georgia. E. E.
