One Day as a Lion was a rap rock supergroup that was started in 2009 by Zack de la Rocha, the vocalist of Rage Against the Machine, and Jon Theodore, former drummer of The Mars Volta and then-current drummer of Queens of the Stone Age. [1] The duo blended elements of rock and hip hop. [2]
Theodore has also completed a collaboration with Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine entitled One Day as a Lion. Their first EP was released on July 22, 2008. [ 7 ] In January 2012, he joined Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, replacing fellow former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen . [ 8 ]
The film was released in the United States on 25 November 2016, [21] in Australia on 19 January 2017, [22] and in the United Kingdom on 20 January. [23] A special red carpet charity event for the Tasmanian premiere of Lion was attended by the film's subject, Saroo Brierley, and his family at the State Cinema in December 2016. [24]
