The Grendel P30 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire.Designed by George Kellgren and manufactured by Grendel Inc., it uses a 30-round Zytel magazine and was available with a 5 or 8 inch barrel.
Another form of box magazine, sometimes referred to as a "quad-column", can hold a large amount of ammunition. It is wider than a standard box magazine, but retains the same length. Casket magazines can be found on the Suomi KP/-31, Hafdasa C-4, Spectre M4, QCW-05 and on 5.45×39mm AK rifle derivatives, and now the Kel-Tec CP33 as well.
Kel-Tec has suspended production of these pistols and conversion kits. In 2006, Kel-Tec introduced a single-stack pistol based on the P-11 with engineering improvements borrowed from the P-3AT . The resulting PF-9 pistol weighs about the same loaded as the P-11 empty and is somewhat slimmer.
