Chen Wei was born in 1980, in Zhejiang Province, China. Currently he lives and works in Beijing, China. In his early career, he used to deal with experimental music and later turned to photography. Shen Wei (沈玮) (born 1977) [1] is a Chinese-born American artist known for his intimate portraits of others and himself, as well as his poetic photographs of landscape and still-life. His work are part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), [ 2 ] the J. Paul Getty Museum, [ 1 ] and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
