Steve begins to regularly visit Amber at work and the two bond. Sarah finds Zeek's personal items at a pawn shop and learns of her father's financial troubles. The Braverman siblings confront Zeek in front of Camille, who kicks him out of the house. Camille privately reveals to Sarah that Zeek had an affair with another woman.
While driving his grandchildren to school, Zeek is pulled over for an illegal U-turn and arrested for having an expired license. When the siblings discuss whether Zeek is too old to drive, Crosby absentmindedly reveals his heart medication. The siblings later try to confront Zeek about his health, but he storms out.
Zeek plans a trip to France, and a concerned Drew informs Camille, who forbids the trip. Zeek reveals that he had intended for the trip to be a romantic getaway with Camille; Camille agrees to go once he is cleared for travelling. Later that night, Zeek experiences a heart attack and weakly instructs Camille to call an ambulance.
Sarah puts her foot down at work and demands a higher salary to save up for Amber's college tuition. When Cory denies her request, Sarah quits her job and resumes bartending. Zeek takes Max on a camping trip, but ignores Adam and Kristina's instructions. When Max has a meltdown, an overwhelmed Zeek is forced to call Adam to calm Max down.
