Anthony Edwards was still credited in the Season 8 finale episode "Lockdown" as a tribute to what both the actor and character had meant to the series. Edwards returned in the Season 15 episode "Heal Thyself" where he appeared in multiple flashback scenes to give insight into the past of Angela Bassett's character.
