The Wisconsin Badgers baseball team was the varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of Wisconsin–Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The team competed in NCAA Division I and were members of the Big Ten Conference. The school's first baseball team was fielded in 1900.
Wisconsin's football program has been among the most successful in the Big Ten since the early 1990s, when Barry Alvarez was hired as head coach. Under Alvarez, the Badgers won three Big Ten Championships and three Rose Bowls. In the 2005 season, Alvarez's last year as coach, the Badgers defeated the Auburn Tigers 24-10, in the Capital One Bowl.

The 1950 Wisconsin Badgers baseball team is a baseball team that represented the University of Wisconsin in the 1950 NCAA baseball season. The Badgers were members of the Big Nine Conference and played their home games at Guy Lowman Field in Madison, Wisconsin. They were led by eleventh-year head coach Arthur Mansfield.
Located eight blocks northeast of the Wisconsin State Capitol on the Madison Isthmus, it is the oldest extant masonry grandstand in Wisconsin. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The field is named in honor of Breese J. Stevens (1834–1903), a mayor of Madison and a University of Wisconsin–Madison regent, on the wishes of his widow, who sold the land to the city.
