Energy Star (trademarked ENERGY STAR) is an energy-efficiency program administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The federal roofing tax credit for energy efficiency is dependent on the cost of the materials used in the renovation.
