James Alexander (Alex) Brandon (June 22, 1961) is an American photojournalist. [1] He won two Pulitzer Prizes in 2006 for his contributions to the Times-Picayune's coverage of Hurricane Katrina, [2] and won another Pulitzer Prize in 2021 for his contributions to Associated Press coverage of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. [3]

[2] Novarro was impressed with the results and showed them to the actress Norma Shearer, who was attempting to mould her wholesome image into something more glamorous and sophisticated in an attempt to land the title role in the movie The Divorcee.
