Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ, Roronoa Zoro, spelled as "Roronoa Zolo" in some English adaptations), also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro (海賊狩りのゾロ, Kaizoku-Gari no Zoro), is a fictional character created by Japanese manga artist Eiichiro Oda who appears in the manga series and media franchise One Piece.
Zoro goes missing, as the Straw Hats restock. On their search for him, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, and Robin follows Maya, a girl of the island, to a village. When the Krieg Pirates attack the floating restaurant Baratie, Usopp and Zoro depart to pursue Nami, who has disappeared. They witness the devastation of the town Gosa by the Arlong Pirates, and they meet Nami's adoptive sister Nojiko in Cocoyashi Village. Usopp is captured by Arlong after saving the villager Genzo, but is saved by Nami.
After Zoro renders Hordy unconscious, a fishman has his captain take an Energy Steroid and attack the group again. In an attempt to flee the palace with Zoro, Usopp, and Brook, Neptune uses Hoe, but Hordy captures the group. Meanwhile, Luffy, Shirahoshi, Hatchan, Sanji, Megalo, and Chopper finally reach the Sea Forest.
Soon after, they encounter Admiral Aokiji, a Marine admiral who is determined to capture Nico Robin, but spares the crew after defeating Luffy. The season began broadcasting on Fuji Television on June 20, 2004 and ended March 27, 2005, lasting 33 episodes.
