In 2013, Singh received critical acclaim for playing a melancholic thief in Lootera, [3] and emerged a star with in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic drama Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, alongside Deepika Padukone. [4] In 2014, Singh appeared in the action film Gunday, alongside Arjun Kapoor.
