Parkway Mall (originally Parkway Plaza) is a community-scale shopping centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.It is located at the southeast corner of Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road in the Maryvale neighbourhood in the Scarborough district.
The Parkway Mall is a local landmark and registered heritage building. The area was first settled as farmland and the neighbourhood is named after the Maryvale farm that once covered part of the area. It was an early part of Scarborough to be developed, being turned into a new suburb in the early 1950s.
Yorkdale Shopping Centre is Toronto's first of its kind and was the world's largest shopping mall at the time of opening, [1] while Toronto Eaton Centre is the most visited shopping mall in North America. These five malls were completed within a 13-year span in the 1960s and 1970s.
Scarborough Town Centre currently includes Hudson's Bay, Walmart, and Cineplex Cinemas as its anchors.
