The School of American Ballet (SAB) is the associate school of the New York City Ballet, a ballet company based at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The school trains students from the age of six, with professional vocational ballet training for students aged 11–18.

Suki Schorer is an American ballet dancer, ballet mistress, teacher, and writer. She danced with George Balanchine 's New York City Ballet from 1959 to 1972. Suki Schorer teaches at the School of American Ballet , [ 1 ] the official school of the New York City Ballet and is a Balanchine Trust répétiteur.
At 17, Kretzschmar moved to New York City to attend the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, where she studied under Suki Schorer, Suzi Pillare, Kay Mazzo, Peter Martins, Sean Lavery, and Andrei Kramarevsky.
