The film tells the story of a female police officer assigned to guard a diamond thief overnight in a hospital when his violent partners break into the hospital to get him.

Variety called Cold Blood "instantly forgettable", [5] The Observer named it a "boring thriller" [6] while The Hollywood Reporter said that despite the film featuring a "a breathtaking snow-covered setting" and being "well shot", the "result is a film that’s as nonsensical as it is blandly put together".
