Moray College (Scottish Gaelic: Colaiste Mhoireibh) is a further education college based in Elgin, in Moray, northeastern Scotland. It has 1,500 full-time students and 8,100 part-time students (based on 2009–2010 academic year).
They previously were based at the Executive Office on Ness Walk. HISA represents all higher and further education students across UHI and its 12 partners. HISA hosts events including Sports Day, Freshers, Student Elections, HISA Awards and Regional Council. All UHI students aged over 16 are automatically a member of HISA.
In July 2014, the college had 8,000 students enrolled in full-time and part-time courses, [1] including more than 750 studying for university degrees. [2] The college has campuses in Thurso, Halkirk, Alness and Dornoch. [3] In August 2023, it merged to become UHI North, West and Hebrides. [4]
UHI Inverness is a tertiary organisation providing education to school pupils, and at further education, higher education and postgraduate levels, together with training for apprentices and a wide range of short courses for business. Scottish colleges are funded primarily by the Scottish Funding Council, with tuition fees paid by individual students or their sponsors. Not included in this list are a number of colleges which became affiliated with the UHI Millennium Institute, a grouping of further education colleges mostly located in the Highlands, in 2001.
The college has strong links with agriculture and opened an Agronomy Institute in 2002. Orkney College's courses provide students of all ages with a full range of qualifications from Scottish Vocational Qualifications , Scottish Group Awards (Higher Still) through Higher National Certificate and Diploma to Degree and postgraduate Degree Level.
UHI North, West and Hebrides (Scottish Gaelic: A Tuath, An Iar, is Innse Gaal) provides further and higher education in the north and west of Scotland through a network of learning centres and by distance learning. It is a constituent college of the University of the Highlands and Islands
