Having said all that Dawn of War has broke with canon before. An example of this would be the Khorne Sorcerers in Dark Crusade. If the game does include a Word Bearer that has joined the Black Legion then it would simply be a similar breach of canon. Also you are correct in that the current Codex Chaos Space Marines is 4th edition.
