Hà Giang is a highly mountainous region, and travel around the province can be difficult. Much of the province is too mountainous for agriculture, leaving much of the land covered by forests. Hà Giang's central plateau is good for growing plums, peaches, and persimmons, which the province exports. Tea is also grown there.
The modern province of Bắc Giang was founded on 10 October 1895, [8] when it was created out of Bắc Ninh Province. [8] It initially comprised the prefectures of Lạng Giang and Đa Phúc and the districts of Kim Anh, Yên Dũng , Phượng Nhỡn , Việt Yên, Hiệp Hòa, Yên Thế and some small territories south of Lục Nam River.

Tân Yên is a rural district of Bắc Giang province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2018 the district had a population of 162,500. [2] The district covers an area of 204 km². The district capital lies at Cao Thượng. [2]
