Rissa is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county in Norway in the Fosen region. The municipality existed from 1860 until its dissolution on 1 January 2018 when it became part of the newly created Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county.
The Tuve landslide was a large landslide in Tuve, Gothenburg, Sweden on 30 November 1977. Some 67 houses were destroyed, killing 9, injuring about 60 and making around 600 people homeless. [1] The slide began at 16.05 and lasted 5–6 minutes. [1] The slide affected 270 000 square meters (27 hectares). [2]
Three days after a historically large landslide lashed a snowy village in Norway, authorities said Saturday night that the number of dead bodies discovered in a rescue effort had climbed to four.
The bodies of those found were cremated. Trained search dogs were also used. A 10-month-old Belgian Malinois police dog, Lily, found the bodies of three people buried under the ground. Six more bodies were found on the third day. The dead bodies were recovered from the river and forest area three kilometers away from the accident site. [5]
