Pine Island Plantation Complex is a historic hunting plantation complex and national historic district located on Pine Island near Frogmore, Beaufort County, South Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings and one contributing sites, and is an early-20th century hunting plantation.
Pine Island is an unincorporated community in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. [1] Pine Island began as an experimental farm in the early 1900s, when the train to Myrtle Beach had been chartered from Conway to the Pine Island area. The train would eventually run to Myrtle Beach a year later.
