The Ponys were an American indie rock/garage rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States, formed by singer/guitarist Jered Gummere, in early 2001.Gummere was concurrently in the punk band, Guilty Pleasures, at the time of The Ponys’ formation.

[ 9 ] Dixon spent thirteen years as a member of Arrogance and learned the essence of record production during this time, producing all of the band's independent albums. [ 9 ]
They left Bell, for further singles including "Honey Bee" (1972), on Stateside Records, and "Music to My Heart" (1975), a cover of the Patti Austin 1960's ABC Records single, on Epic Records, produced by Biddu. This was also reissued as the B-side to the 1975 reissue of "Breakin' Down The Walls Of Heartache", also on Epic.
