Riggins is a city in the western United States in Idaho County, Idaho. Nestled deep in a canyon at the confluence of the Salmon and Little Salmon rivers in west central Idaho, it is approximately 150 highway miles (240 km) north of Boise , and 120 highway miles (190 km) south-southeast of Lewiston .
The Aitken Barn on the Little Salmon River prominently visible from the U.S. Highway 95 near Riggins in Idaho County, Idaho was built in 1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
The Idaho Rodeo Hall of Fame was established as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization on May 6, 2013. Lonnie and Charmy LeaVell are the founders of the organization. The actual charitable nonprofit status was received from the IRS on February 19, 2014. The IRHF hosts a reunion and induction ceremony annually every October. [1]
