After a tyrant invades their parents' monarchy and their home planet, teenage aliens Prince Krel and Princess Aja and their bodyguard Varvatos Vex land for safety on Earth. After crash-landing in the town of Arcadia, California, the royal siblings search for useful technology in order to power their spaceship.
Varvatos Vex is a Commander who serves House Tarron. Prior to that, his planet was destroyed (and his family killed) by the Zenon Brotherhood, who were hired by General Morando during that time. Varvatos was misled by Morando to betray House Tarron under the false promise of avenging his family (and making sure nobody was hurt during his invasion).
