Lier railway station (Dutch: Station Lier; French: Gare de Lierre) [a] is a railway station in Lier, Antwerp, Belgium. [1] The station opened on 23 April 1855 on railway lines 13 and 15 . Until 1988, the station was also on line 205 , when this line closed.
In April 1986, the number of beds exceeded 800 places. [4] In 1991, the Faculty of Medicine moved entirely to the campus. [5] In 1994, the Museum of Medicine was established. [6] [5] The hospital was connected to the Brussels Metro in 2003 and Erasme/Erasmus metro station has been the terminus of line 5 ever since.
