Ted Nugent is the debut studio album by American rock musician Ted Nugent. The album was released in September 1975 by Epic Records . It was Nugent's first release after the disbanding of his former group, The Amboy Dukes .
Ted Nugent, the nucleus of the Amboy Dukes, was born and raised in Detroit and started performing in 1958 at age 10.He played in a group called the Royal High Boys from 1960 to 1962 and later in group named the Lourds, where he first met future Amboy Dukes lead vocalist John Drake.
"High Enough" was Ted Nugent's first mainstream top ten single. The band's songs appeared on several Hollywood film soundtracks, such as Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Nothing But Trouble and The Taking of Beverly Hills.
