Now, I'm eager to dive deeper into the shooting aspect and I'm in the market for a couple of reliable shotguns. Specifically, I'm torn between choosing a side-by-side shotgun in 12 or 20 gauge. I've been considering a few options like the Charles Daly, Tristar, and CZ. However, I've come across some concerns about the trigger pull on the CZ ...
The best path, by far, is to use: The Firearms Specialists, LLC. Dave Sommerfeldt. 4717 State Road 44. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Phone number for any questions: 920-230-GUNS . It is the best $85 you can spend on most autoloaders. --Randy Guns & Shooting Online.
Bought a TriStar Trinity O/U 20G in March. Been out to the range 3 times no problems. It depends if you are shooting for fun or competition. I've been to shoots where Brownings, Caesar's all have had issues. Money doesn't buy you the best gun. Just like cars, all have problems. Don't let anyone tell you a 500-600 gun isn't any good.
Walmart TriStar Hunter EX. I was in the local Walmart on Sunday morning and they have a 12 gauge TriStar Hunter EX priced at $357. I already have a 12 gauge Khan O/U and a 16 gauge Hunter EX. If this would have been a 20 gauge, I would have bought it on the spot. I like the Turkish shotguns. Bud's has it for $509, so the price at Walmart is ...
I always shot my browning 725 combo unsingle for the longest time. I mainly shoot trap, and thought this will be the last shotgun I'll ever buy. Lately, I kept seeing these adds for the new tristar tt-15 combo trap gun. So I kept doing the research, and could not find one bad review. I've always had a fascination for unsingle barrel trap guns ...
to praise cheap break open shotguns and instead encourage good inexpensive options that include Turk made autoloaders like the Tristar G2 Viper. But hey, if the OP wants a TT-15 then by all means go for it. In the long run it won't make or break him. Here is a thread from those bullies commenting on a sub $2000 break open shotgun.
I think the biggest difference is the weight of the gun, the TT-15 is about 1 pound heavier, and the length. With the 30" barrels, the over all length of the TT-15 is about 4.5" shorter than the Benelli with a 30" barrel. To conclude, it's a very nice gun for under $1000. I just need to get used to the different dynamics of an O/U vs a semi-auto.

For similar or slightly more money you can find a good, high condition shotgun of known quality. I think you're being a little unfair to lump all Tri-Star guns into the junk category.
Mossberg vs Tristar. I plan on getting either a Mossberg SA-20 or the Viper G2 20 gauge. Both are the straight black synthetic versions. Both are close to identical in price with literally just a few dollars difference. The Mossberg warranty states 1 year and the tristar states a 1 year provisional up to 5. Couldn't really figure out what they ...

The Tristar seems to balance about a 3/4 inch behind the hinge pin. The Browning seems to have a balance point about a half inch in front of the hinge pin.
