Hey, so I have multiple staff roles like for example, Jr. Mod, Moderator, Sr. Mod, Administrator, and Community Manager.
When I do !testgreet it seems fine, but it does say that Carl Bot greet message status is turned off. I've only tested the welcome message with bots so maybe it just doesn't do it with them, but for other tutorial it works so I doubt it. I've given Carl Bot admin, but it still doesn't work.

Manage server perms:- If someone has manage server perms then they can access the carl dashboard which will allow them to effectively control carl.
Dang, I thought botlabs was just meant to be a free hosting provider for bot devs (kind of like Fosshost). Carl bot was a really good bot a few years ago and I recommended it over MEE6. In the servers I'm in we mainly use Robotop bot and bots made by developers within the servers (including me), but Robotop bot is shutting down soon.
A friend is trying to get Carl Bot to ping a specific role when new members join the server, but the bot only displays the text and does not ping. Tried with and without variables. I'm having the same issue with Carl Bot mentioning a certain role in my going live channel. I have certain people that want notifs when I go live on twitch and some ...
Carl bot welcome message problems So, I’ve made sure that the Carl bot has every permission it needs, when I do /test greet it comes up with this, so it has what it needs I think - but it’s still not sending the welcome message in the designated channel.
Okay I found out the answers to this and I am slightly disappointed. But I do want to answer this in case anyone has the same questions I do. #1 - there is a 3 character minimum to triggers. So, I cant make a "69" :Nice: trigger :- (. #2 - carl will only trigger once and it will be the first alphabetically. 2.

Make sure, when you click "create new reaction role" and below"Mode" it says "Post embed" changed to "Use id" and copy the id of the message you wanna to have the reactions roles and paste there. After you put all the reactions roles, go to discord and do ...
Thanks. Someone is using the !echo command to have carl-bot repeat what they are saying to annoy you. (Can be applied to multiple channels.) You have given webhook perms to a role in your server and it is being abused. This would post from an outside source to a specific channel to annoy you. Dashboard Embed Builder is being used by a staff ...
ThePhoenixNinja101. • 1 yr. ago. In embeds that only mentions the role but it doesn't ping the role. I wish there was a way that actually pings roles because otherwise I have been putting the role mention using that same format (<@&roleID>) in the message content, or the non-embeded message/caption of the embed. 1.
