Flintlock in the Uwharrie National Forest on the other side of Albemarle. ~1 hour drive east, mostly on 24/27. The one in Huntersville is a membership range and is in Long Creek. Other than Foothills your other option is Flintlock Valley, an hour east of Charlotte out 24/27 way.
I used to go to Wyoming Antelope Club almost weekly, great place with decent people. It's a 100yd range. If you want to shoot further then Manatee is your only option. They offer gongs at 600yds and 1000yds. Too bad they're about an hour away though. edit: I forgot about Shoot Shack on 16439 County Rd 39, Lithia, FL 33547.
I go shooting at the WMA range up I-75 (exit 320, so its a bit far). I think its called Chestnut Mountain Shooting Range in Johns Mountain WMA. It has a 100 yard outdoor range and only costs $5/vehicle/day. I've had my R700 for almost 2 years now. If you want to go shooting sometime, send me a message - its a pretty long drive up there so ...
Best I’ve found is Hillsdale shooting range south of OP, it goes out to 200 yards. I would really like to find something longer around here too. Check out and ask over at your local state gun subreddits, they should be r/MOguns and r/KSguns. Rolling Hills is about 2.5 hrs from KC and goes out to 1200.
Holmesburg fish and game state road and pennypack street . Great place. Not technically near Philly but right outside Jim Thorpe bud another state game land range. I think they have a 400 meter range. Wicens Shooting Range out near Doylestown is pretty decent and has a 100 Yard Range.
Arlington Sportsman’s Club has both but it is members only. Parker County Sportsman’s Club is members only but it’s $100/yr has a zeroing range, 100 yd, 270 yd, pistol range, and steel gallery. Also has 2 trap/skeet ranges and a 10 station sporting clays course. Only about 30 min from ft worth up 199 in Poolville.
Farther than that it drops a LOT. Sighting a .223 for zero at 50 yards also has you zeroed in at 200 yards. That makes sense. In any case, it says here that the drop for a .223 (fired perfectly level) is 3.1 inches at 200 yards, 12.7 inches at 300 yards, 31 at 400 yards, and over 5 feet at 500 yards.
Another option is a public sight-in range at a wildlife management area, like Phelps, which is inside that 2-hour drive time. OP, it would help if you can define what you mean by "shoot outside." There are a number of places with 100yd ranges for putting holes in paper. Places like Peacemaker have longer ranges.
South St. Paul: Open year-round (just more limited hours in winter), hours are identical for members and non-members. Membership is just a different cost structure (pay up front for discounted or zero per-visit rates) and available to purchase over-the-counter. Non-member daily rate for the rifle and pistol range is $25, or an annual pass is $200.
If you're cool with the drive, 45 mins away from uptown is the Foothills Public Shooting Complex. 10 bucks all day, a little extra if you want to shoot skeet or their steel target range. Pistol range, a 200 or 300 yard rifle range if my memory serves correctly, and it's all new.
