Kuala Kubu Bharu (also spelt Kuala Kubu Baru, Kuala Kubu Bahru or Kuala Kubu Baharu; abbreviated to KKB), is the district capital of Hulu Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Kuala Lumpur and 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Shah Alam , the state capital.
Bukit Kutu or Treacher Hill is a former hill station and now a ghost town in Hulu Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia.This hill station was established in 1893 and consisted of two bungalows, which served as a lodge for visitors and included a 15.3 km (9.5 mi) bridle path that connected it with the town of Kuala Kubu.

The service was extended to Kuala Kubu Bharu on January 5, 2008. It was further extended to Tanjung Malim on June 1, 2009, and the service was renamed as the Rawang-Tanjung Malim shuttle service. Until 11 July 2016, passengers had to disembark at Rawang and transfer to the Rawang-Tanjung Malim shuttle service for stations north of Rawang.
