Bayreuth Festspielhaus in 1882. The Bayreuth Festival (German: Bayreuther Festspiele) is a music festival held annually in Bayreuth, Germany, at which performances of stage works by the 19th-century German composer Richard Wagner are presented.
Since the revival of the festival after the Second World War, a general principle has been developed in which new productions are introduced to the festival at regular intervals, each such production being staged for five years followed by a "rest" year. There have been 222 performances of the Ring cycle performed at Bayreuth from 1876 to 2017.

Bayreuther Blätter (Bayreuth pages) was a monthly journal founded in by Richard Wagner 1878 and edited by Hans von Wolzogen until his death in 1938.
