The Oshawa Civic Auditorium opened in 1964, built on fundraising by citizens of Oshawa. The first scheduled OHA game was December 15, 1964 vs. the St. Catharines Black Hawks. [22] The Generals prevailed by a score of 6 to 4 in front of 4,109 fans attending the game. In 1987 the Civic Auditorium played host to the Memorial Cup.

On March 14, 2022, the Hamilton Bulldogs hosted the Hamilton Outdoor Showcase at Tim Hortons Field against their East Division rivals, the Oshawa Generals. The Bulldogs shutout the Generals 3-0 in front of 12,587 fans. This marked the fourth outdoor game in OHL history and was the first time since 2017 that the league hosted an outdoor game. [4]

Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario hosted the Final, which featured Bobby Orr, the Generals captain. It was the last of 18 Memorial Cup series to be played at the Gardens. In a best-of-seven series, Edmonton won their second Memorial Cup, defeating Oshawa four games to two. Orr was injured and played sparingly.
