State Route 177 (SR 177) is a north–south state highway located in the southwest corner of the U.S. state of Ohio.The southern terminus of State Route 177 is at the signalized junction of State Route 4 and State Route 129 in Hamilton, after State Route 177 runs concurrently with State Route 129 for its southernmost 1.59 miles (2.56 km).

Interstate 77 (I-77) in Ohio is an Interstate Highway that runs for 163.03 miles (262.37 km) through the state. The highway crosses into Ohio on the Marietta–Williamstown Interstate Bridge over the Ohio River near Marietta. The northern terminus is in Cleveland at the junction with I-90.
Soon after its creation, SR 176 was extended to Akron, routed with U.S. Route 21 (US 21; here part of Cleveland-Massillon Road), over SR 92 (Ghent Road), replacing it, and along Market Street with a portion SR 18 (at the time, SR 18 followed Twin Oaks Road from Market Street) to downtown Akron, ending at the High Street/Broadway Street couplet (then SR 5, 8, and 261, now just SR 261).
