The shared cockpit is more than beneficial for the simulator and therefore for the community. For its implementation, some optimization of the servers and the general architecture of the multiplayer mode must be done. This will be beneficial for all players, whether or not they are fans of the shared cockpit.

Yes, I have both flight sim and simracing on my 8020 cockpit….look at the pictures online for a track racer tr120 or tr160 flight to see what it looks like with both HOTAS for flight on left/right and wheel in the middle. Other companies like simlab and asr make similar dual use setups. With some more profile pieces and custom parts from ...

Inside the cockpit clarity is almost entirely based on your render scaling set within MSFS whereas OpenXR's render scaling is what will most impact your view out the window. In my experience, with a HP Reverb G2, you need to be 80 or better for rendering scale within MSFS to have good inside the cockpit clarity for instruments.

There’s a huge update coming on the 27th. Likely VR performance will be a lot better and you will be able to increase the VR resolution in flight sim. I have found that render scale setting (in MSFS) determines the quality of the cockpit interiors. I have it set to 100 on a G2 and it is beautiful and crisp.

MSFS in VR - Slight "jitters" in cockpit? I just got a Reverb G2 to use with MSFS. I dialed up the settings to get a relatively smooth experience with my RTX 4090/7800X3D rig but noticed two visual anomalies: When I look at the flight stick in the cockpit and scan my head from side to side to look "around" the stick, it jitters/stutters and I ...

  10. Quest 3 128vs512. Im thinking of dipping my toe into the world of VR flight simming. There seems to be a ton of people who swear by it. By what I can see, people seem to be talking about the Quest 3. I also like the idea of pass-through reality, for the interaction with my home cockpit.

Sorry no cockpit model, I am a woodworker so it is just my own construction. I built a desk from 3/4” ply exclusively for driving and flight sims. The wheel is mounted at the center and the stick/throttle are on small “mini-desks” alongside that and are mounted lower. It is all on collapsible wall brackets that allows me to drop it down ...
