The 8 touch switches are small and I'm pretty sure, they won;t work with gloves on. Just my $.02 worth. 12 JK,2.5" Teraflex lift, 3/4 spacers ,Bilstein 5100's,BFG KM3's 37x12.5/R17 with beadlocks. 7. Switch-Pro current capacity is 100A - the sPOD is only 50A. 8. The Switch-Pro uses automotive grade Mosfets to switch the outputs which are monitored for overcurrent or a short circuit. No relays or fuses are needed. sPOD uses relays and fuses that are not sealed and can cause corrosion over time.
I don't have an Spod, but I have a knock off and they are very similar. You need to make sure you have power to the input of the Spod, there should be a red wire going from the battery to the spod box, check that wire to ground and there should be 12 volts on it. If there is, then flip a switch your switches on and you should have 12 volts ...
The spod needs to be connected directly to the battery. With no circuit or relay in between. The spod comes with a protected inline, no need to do anything else. Don't put the winch to the spod, the guys that make it say not to, they know best. Running it to a different relay or switch will be fine, if you absolutely need a switch.
Losing track over how many threads on sPOD alternatives I may have posted in. Like the S-Tech switch systems for the build quality, service, usa-made and doesn't mount on the footman loop cramping access to hard top latches etc. Got the 6-switch for the JK and liked it enough to install a JK 4-switch unit in my '05 Tundra.
The folks at SPOD also have basic 6-switch systems in case you're interested. Here's the link - 2009 - 2017 JK 6 Switch sPOD & Source System. They have it listed for $435.00. I chose the SE version because I like the availability of programming what my lights can do, and the simple install. Tim.
