I checked a few links, but most only seem interested in rare vinyl. and some don't seem to offer the option to buy from you, only sell to you. This link shows when, and where vinyl fairs are taking place. If you have a huge collection, it may be worth while. Most seem to be in the North at the moment, but they say they go all over the country.
I've got over 100 old 78's I want to sell. Looking through Record Collectors "Rare record guide price" book, they may be worth a few thousand pounds. Where would it be best to sell these? To an independant record shop? Anyone know the best way of going about this? Ideally in the Glasgow area, but any advice is welcome. Thanks. Wha's like us ...
Getting rid of old Vinyl Records. melliott1963 Posts: 474 Forumite. 24 February 2009 at 12:56PM. We've been going through our old vinyl collection, replacing any we still want with digital downloads. This means we've now got quite a lot we no longer need.

The other day in a local expensive farm shop I saw candles being sold which were in effect matching cups and saucers with the cup being filled with a candle wick and wax (kind of hard to explain - but hopefully you get the picture) being sold for £8 a pop.
Best price offered in the 40 was £3 for The Adverts Anthology. The total for the 40 was just under £40 so if I can average that for 350 CDs then that's £350 in the bank for very little effort. A tiny fraction of what I paid for them over the years but I'm going to recoup what I can now as I use a paid streaming service now.
Dental records usually don't follow people, but a new dentist will start his own records from scratch when you first go. If there is something particular you wasn't your new dentist to know about, then you could ask him to contact your previous dentist for a copy of your notes, but this might involve a copying charge from your previous practice.
