The American professional wrestling promotion WWE has been broadcasting pay-per-view (PPV) events since the 1980s, when its classic "Big Four" events (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series) were first established—the company's very first PPV was WrestleMania in 1985.

WWE SuperCard is a 2014 digital collectible card game featuring WWE Superstars for iOS and Android, and a mobile installment in the WWE video game series, under the WWE 2K banner, developed by Cat Daddy Games [1] and published by 2K. As of 2024, it is also the longest running (official) online WWE mobile game.

To date, as of 2025, WWE has only promoted one event using the name of a former ECW PPV, Heat Wave since 2022 for the NXT brand and has since rotated between a television special and a live-streaming event as WWE ceased airing NXT pay-per-views from 2022 and has aired solely on the WWE Network and Peacock.
