Wally is a regular character on The New Woody Woodpecker Show, voiced by Billy West. A character parodying Wally Walrus appears as a cameo in the fifth season of Samurai Jack on Adult Swim, and is once again voiced by Billy West using a similar voice to his other character Zoidberg on Futurama.

Wally the Walrus, also known as Wally the Wandering Walrus, is a male arctic walrus who attracted much media attention for appearing, and hauling out, during 2021 in several locations across the coast of western Europe, mainly Ireland and Britain, far away from the typical range of a walrus. The Beach Nut marked the debut of Woody Woodpecker's recurring antagonist, Wally Walrus. Voiced by actor Jack Mather, Wally became Woody's primary rival until 1948, before being replaced with Buzz Buzzard in Wet Blanket Policy. Woody would lose more battles to Wally than any of his other opponents. [3]
In 1943, Walter Lantz cast Mather as Woody Woodpecker's nemesis, Wally Walrus for The Beach Nut (1944). [4] Giving Wally a Swedish accent, Mather maintained the role until Walter Lantz Productions temporarily shut down in 1948. Dallas McKennon and Paul Frees later took over the role following the studio's reopening in 1950.
Woody manages to stuff his Santa toy sack with food from the lodge, and starts singing and skiing his way down the mountain. However, upon opening the sack, Woody discovers a vengeful Wally Walrus who wrings the little woodpecker's neck in disgust and mocks Woody's trademark laugh.
