Frenchman's Cove Resort, previously known as Frenchman's Cove Hotel, is a hotel located on a 42-acre (170,000 m 2) property near Port Antonio on Jamaica's northeastern shore. It is considered to be the world's first all-inclusive hotel [ 1 ] with a history indicating its role in Jamaica's tourism industry.
It superseded the All Island and Self-Taught Artist annual exhibitions previously held at the Institute of Jamaica. In 1978 Boxer curated The Formative Years: Art in Jamaica 1922-1940 which established 1922, the year Edna Manley arrived and started producing art in Jamaica, as the symbolic start date of modern Jamaican art.
Sandals Cay (formerly called Kokomo Island) is part of the privately owned Sandals Royal Caribbean all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It is apparent that Sandals resorts has an almost identical island in their Nassau, Bahamas location called the Royal Bahamian. The original name for the island came from the song "Kokomo”.
