The Dagblad van het Noorden (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdɑɣblɑt fɑn ət ˈnoːrdə(n)]; [a] English: Daily Newspaper of the North), abbreviated as DvhN, is a Dutch regional daily newspaper that is published and circulated in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe in the northeastern Netherlands.
The Drentse Courant and the Groninger Dagblad had the same layout and only differed from each other on the regional pages. In 1995 Hazewinkel Pers of Groningen, publisher of Nieuwsblad van het Noorden, acquired the Drents-Groningse Pers from Wegener. Initially, its three dailies continued to appear separately.

On 3 January 1994, FGDP bought the newspapers of Wegener in its region, the Drentse Courant and Groninger Dagblad. On 2 April 2002 the Groninger Dagblad, Drentse Courant, and Nieuwsblad van het Noorden were merged into the Dagblad van het Noorden that became the only regional daily of the provinces Groningen and Drenthe.
The first issue of the Nieuwsblad van het Noorden appeared on 2 June 1888. Until 1997 its offices were in a 1903 Jugendstil building in the Gedempte Zuiderdiep designed by Gerrit Nijhuis . During the German occupation in World War II, the Nieuwsblad van het Noorden, like many other Dutch newspapers, published anti-Semitic and pro-German articles.
