Madeline is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lassen County, California. [2] It is located 45 miles (72 km) north-northeast of Susanville, [3] at an elevation of 5325 feet (1623 m). [2] Its population is 21 as of the 2020 census. A post office was operated at Madeline from 1875 to 1878, and from 1879 to 1882. [3]
