The Cleveland, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of two counties in southeast Tennessee – Bradley and Polk – anchored by the city of Cleveland. As of the 2020 United States census, the MSA had a population of 126,164. [1]

Interstate 75 traverses the county from the southwest to the north, passing through the western edge of Cleveland. There are four exits on I-75 in Bradley County: three in Cleveland and one in Charleston. U.S. Route 11 and U.S. Route 64 intersect in downtown Cleveland. U.S. 11 connects to Chattanooga to the southwest and Athens to the north.
The route continues east as Inman Street for another one-fifth mile (320 m) before meeting its eastern terminus with US 11/US 64 (Ocoee Street, Broad Street) in downtown Cleveland. Also at this intersection US 64 splits off from US 11, and continues east as Inman Street.
Georgetown is located along Tennessee State Route 60, along what was part of the main Northern Route of the Trail of Tears in 1838. [5] According to tradition, the village was named for Cherokee trader George Fields, who owned a two-story log home and operated a trading post at the intersection of Georgetown Road and Francisco Road in the early 1800s.
East Cleveland is a census-designated place (CDP) and community in Bradley County, Tennessee, United States. As indicated by its name, it is located directly east of the city limits of Cleveland, and is also considered one of the major divisions of the city. [5] The population was 1,725 at the 2020 census.
