Snow Lake is a lake in Lewis County, Washington. It is within Mount Rainier National Park. It is in a glacial cirque below Unicorn Peak, in the Tatoosh Range. It also has a hiking trail, spanning about seven miles.
The lake lies in Targhee National Forest, between the southern border of Yellowstone National Park and the northern border of Grand Teton National Park. Primary access is from Ashton, Idaho, or Flagg Ranch, Wyoming, in the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. Boy scout Camp Loll is located on the lake. [1]
Lake of the Woods is a natural lake near the crest of the Cascade Range in the Fremont–Winema National Forest in southern Oregon in the United States. The lake covers 1,146 acres (4.64 km 2). It was named by Oliver C. Applegate in 1870. Today, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife manages the lake's fishery.
The community is in northwestern Steuben County, consisting of development on the north, east, and west sides of Snow Lake, a natural water body. Indiana State Road 120 forms the northeastern edge of the CDP, leading east 5 miles (8 km) to Fremont and west 8 miles (13 km) to Orland. Angola, the Steuben county seat, is eight miles to the south.
