Arnold Clark never retired from the company, remaining as chairman until his death on 10 April 2017, at the age of 89. [4] On 31 January 2019, Arnold Clark completed their takeover of The Phoenix Car Company. Phoenix was a family-run car retail group established in 1993, with dealerships of Kia, Hyundai, Honda, SsangYong and Mazda.
Sir John Arnold Clark (27 November 1927 – 10 April 2017) was a Scottish billionaire businessman. Clark opened a showroom in Glasgow in 1954 and found some success selling cars. He expanded his business and Arnold Clark Automobiles became a nationwide chain of motor dealerships and the largest privately owned business in Scotland.
The fire-damaged cars were used as a source of spares by Arnolt in later years. The total production included six coupés, and two aluminum alloy-bodied cars. One of the cars was originally right hand drive: the rest were all left hand drive. One of the cars never received a body, and was used as a rolling chassis for auto shows.
Arnold's began making car bodies in 1910 and between the wars built many bodies for famous brands of car. They also built motor coaches. They tried their hand at bus bodies, both single-deck and double-deck between 1928 and 1931. War ended production. After the Second World War they remained car sales and service agents. [1]

Glensburgh is a very small and old hamlet situated on the south bank of the River Carron, 1.1 miles (1.8 km) north-west of Grangemouth.. Originally built on farmland in 1240 as houses for farm slaves the now standing cottages date back as far as 1878.
