Fulford is a village and civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) north east of Stone, [1] in the Stafford district, in the county of Staffordshire, England.The parish includes the settlements of Crossgate, Leadendale, Meir Heath, Mossgate, Rough Close, Saverley Green, Stallington, Townend and part of Blythe Bridge.
Meir Heath Cricket Club is a cricket club and ground in Meir Heath, Staffordshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1991, when Staffordshire played Shropshire in the grounds only MCCA Knockout Trophy match. [1] In 1992, it held its first Minor Counties Championship match which saw Staffordshire play Suffolk.
The main coverage of the area is within northern Staffordshire, extending into southern Cheshire. [5] The North West Green Belt area surrounding Macclesfield lies close to the Stoke-on-Trent green belt, being just over a mile away at its closest extent from the River Dane which forms the northern boundary for the area.
