Stephen Harding House, also known as the Wright-Underhill House and Turbillon, is a historic home located at Mill Neck in Nassau County, New York.The house is believed to date to the 18th century settlement period, then substantially expanded and restyled in the Colonial Revival style in the late-19th and early-20th centuries.

A pamphlet published in 1885, entitled The Beale Papers, is the source of this story.The treasure was said to have been obtained by an American named Thomas J. Beale in the early 1800s, from a mine to the north of Nuevo México (New Mexico), at that time in the Spanish province of Santa Fe de Nuevo México (an area that today would most likely be part of Colorado).
The story starts with a quotation from a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, whose novel Treasure Island led to the story's title.; Greek mythology is mentioned throughout the story, with especial allusions to Anchises and Apollo, Helen of Troy, Arcadia, Ida, Thracia, Orpheus.
