The British International School, Cairo (BISC) is a private British school in Beverly Hills, a compound within the 6th of October City, in Greater Cairo, Egypt. [2] BISC was previously in Zamalek. [3] It moved from its Zamalek location in September 2008 to its new purpose-built campus in the residential compound of Beverly Hills.
The school was founded on 23 August 1980, and began operations with class I to class V. In 1990, it moved to a new building in Abu Dhabi on land donated by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. A college section was added in 1991. [2] The school was one of four to win a Zayed Future Energy Prize in the Global High School category in 2013.

As of December 2016, JESS had 2000 students enrolled. The students in secondary school (Years 7 to 11) follow the British curriculum, with year 11 students undertaking GCSE examinations.
