Itasca State Park (/ aɪ ˈ t æ s k ə /) is a state park of Minnesota, United States, and contains the headwaters of the Mississippi River.The park spans 32,690 acres (132.3 km 2) of northern Minnesota, and is located about 21 miles (34 km) north of Park Rapids, Minnesota and 25 miles (40 km) from Bagley, Minnesota.

Crow Wing State Park offers 14 miles (23 km) of hiking trails, some of which are open to cross-country skiing or snowmobiling in winter. There is a campground with 61 sites and a camper cabin. There is also a group camp and a riverside campsite for canoeists. A boat ramp provides access to the rivers, with rental craft available.
Flandrau State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, on the Cottonwood River adjacent to the city of New Ulm.Initially called Cottonwood River State Park, it was renamed in 1945 to honor Charles Eugene Flandrau, a leading citizen of early Minnesota who commanded defenses during the Battles of New Ulm in the Dakota War of 1862.
The first 2,350 acres (9.5 km 2) of land on which the park is situated were donated to the state by the Saint Louis Power Company in 1915.The park remained generally undeveloped until 1933, when a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp was established on the site.
